The Women’s Ministry Group at First

Church is excited to announce the

introduction of Girlfriends Unlimited, a new

opportunity for you to meet and have fun with

other women here at First Church and the

Huntingdon community. Girlfriends Unlimited is

a world-wide ministry program ultimately

focused on building and strengthening women’s

relationships with Jesus. We find this happens

best in relationships with other girlfriends.

At Girlfriends Unlimited, we seriously focus on

having fun, building friendships, and at times,

just being silly!

 

What’s it like to be involved in Girlfriends Unlimited? Fun!! Throughout the year we’ll come together for large, themed events where we’ll let our hair down, pamper ourselves, try something new (papermaking anyone?), or just have fun (how ‘bout a game of Bunco?) You can also join shared-interest groups to pursue that special talent. Love cooking? A great scrapbooker? Can’t get enough hiking? Love great mysteries or movies? Come join us. We’ll connect you with other women with that same passion!

 

We now offer several G! Groups. These are special interest groups that focus on activities like hiking, scrapbooking, movies, cooking, and so on. G! Groups often commit to giving back to the community through projects such as hiking to raise money for cancer research, making quilts for babies in the hospital, or making prayer beads given freely to those who want them. Listed below are our current G! Groups. Be sure to check back as new groups are being formed monthly.

 

Shawl Knitters:  Meets 1st Thursday of the month, 6:30 PM, in the Church Lounge. Contact Team Leader Marty Fagan 643-3963

 

Heart Whisperers (Prayer Group): Meets Tuesdays at 6:30 PM in the church Lounge. Contact Team Leader Kathy King 643-0407

 

German Paper Cutters: Meets Mondays at 6 PM in Room 301. Contact Team Leader Lou Brown Mitchell 643-3870.

 

Stringers (Prayer Bead Makers): Meets 2nd Thursday of the month at Addie’s Gift Shop. Contact Team Leader Susan Bair 643-1013
